Leeds received a double dosage of contract news on Wednesday evening.
First it was revealed that Kalvin Phillips was close to signing a new deal with the west Yorkshire side in an interview on the BBC involving Angus Kinnear.
A Polish Leeds supporter then posted a further interview on Twitter. This time it was with Mateusz Klich who revealed that he was on his way to renew his contract at Elland Road.
The video within the tweet features a Polish journalist and helps to clarify the future of the midfielder who has so far claimed one assist in 2019/20.
Some fans responded to the news with elation, struggling to contain their excitement. One said they loved Klich more than their Dad whilst a further said that the 29-year-old knew there was no better place to be.
Another individual suggested that the creative man was an underrated player.
Klich was linked with a switch to Burnley in the summer so a new deal would all but rule out the possibility of a potential move elsewhere in the immediate future.
Last term, he was imperative to Leeds’ run to the playoffs, scoring ten times and laying on nine assists, per WhoScored.
Here’s the reaction.
