Liverpool’s club captain Jordan Henderson was ruled out of the Reds’ 1-0 victory over bitter local rivals Everton at Anfield on Sunday due to a suspension.

The 28-year-old’s importance at Anfield seems to be gradually waning. The arrivals of Naby Keita and Fabinho, along with the current form of James Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum, could all conspire to force Henderson down the pecking order.
If the midfielder is to maintain regular involvement with Gareth Southgate’s England set-up, he has to be a regular starter at club level. However, he could soon find himself on the fringes of Klopp’s squad, in which case the Sunderland-born star ought to consider an Anfield exit.
Plenty of Liverpool fans agree that Henderson’s future likely lies elsewhere. Of those who took part in our recent poll, 81% stated that they don’t believe Henderson has a future at the club under Klopp. See the full results below.
