According to Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino will only be allowed to join Everton once they have wrapped up the signing of Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, and Toffees fans have been quick to react to the update on Twitter.
The report suggests that the Uruguay international is a target for Carlo Ancelotti, and that the 28-year-old likes the idea of the move to Goodison Park.
However, Gazzetta dello Sport report that any potential deal between Inter and the Merseyside outfit won’t happen until they get Giroud, for whatever reason.

Vecino hasn’t actually been in the matchday squad for the Serie A club’s previous two league games, with Corriere dello Sport, via FedeNerazzurra, reporting earlier this month that he had in fact suffered an injury.
Everton supporters have been reacting after more than one fan account – The USM Toffee Blues and Toffee TV – on Twitter reported the update.
Some certainly weren’t impressed at the prospect of spending €20m (£16.9m) on him.
However, one supporter was a little more positive about the potential arrival of Vecino, saying that he would be an upgrade on Morgan Schneiderlin and Fabian Delph as a box-to-box midfielder at Everton.
Did he really play for us?! No Everton fan has managed to name all of these obscure Toffees players….
That said, he doesn’t appear to be an improvement in terms of taking the ball forward, considering he has only completed an average of 0.2 dribbles per Serie A match this term according to WhoScored – as a comparison, Delph has 1.2.
Other fans simply didn’t see the deal happening, with one believing they wouldn’t spend money on a player who will turn 29 years of age later in 2020.
They may have a point too given director of football Marcel Brands said, via The Liverpool Echo, he would only target players aged between 20-25 last summer, although the appointment of Ancelotti could easily have changed that strategy.
Finally, there were others who talked about Giroud’s involvement in any potential move before Friday’s deadline.
One in particular was confused as they play in different positions, while another wouldn’t be surprised if the France international took it to the deadline before bottling a move to the San Siro, which would leave Everton empty-handed as the report suggests.
