Aaaaand we’re back! That’s right, the Fantasy Football season is back under way after the international break (at last) and it’s time to get those last minute changes in place.
Arsenal may be a side that enter your thoughts this weekend, despite the fact they’re hosting Manchester City, with the Gunners having been involved in some late deals and injury news.
Here are some ins and outs to consider when looking over the Gunners’ squad…

IN – Danny Welbeck
The £16m deadline day man may well be thrust straight into the Arsenal XI on Saturday thanks to Olivier Giroud’s injury woes. Yaya Sanogo has been leading the line, but with the youngster still searching for his first league goal (it’s been over a year now) surely it’s time for Arsene Wenger to listen to the fans and drop him to the bench.
It’s been revealed that Welbeck will be used as a striker by the Gunners and after his two goals for England on Monday his confidence is likely to be high.
OUT – Olivier Giroud
As mentioned, Giroud is out of action through injury. The Frenchman has been in good form from the bench this term, but a late problem suffered against Everton has ended his 2014 hopes, with a return in the New Year predicted. There’s absolutely no point keeping him in for now, so it’s time to sell before his value drops greatly.
IN – Aaron Ramsey
Despite injury fears stemming from Wales’ international exploits, Ramsey has confirmed that he should be fit in time for the City game. With two goals to his name already, the midfielder is a banker when it comes to points, and even City’s mighty rearguard may struggle to keep him off of the scoresheet. He may no longer be the bargain he has been in recent seasons, but class doesn’t come cheap in Fantasy Football.
OUT – Yaya Sanogo
The bargain basement way into Arsenal’s XI has been Sanogo in recent weeks, but with Welbeck now in, the youngster may be dropped to the bench. The Frenchman is yet to score a league goal for the Gunners, so it makes sense to get rid now rather than continue to pray that he may get his break soon.
IN – Mesut Ozil
The German playmaker has fought off injury concerns and could be in line to face City. Even though he hasn’t set the world alight since his record move last year, the German oozes class when on form, and could use the pace of Welbeck well with his vision and weight of pass. Now may be the time to pay out and give Ozil a chance.
