Lehmann has gotten to know the Girelli over the past season following her move to Juventus from Aston Villa. And it seems they are on good terms as the 26-year-old quickly took to social media to praise the veteran striker after her double earned Italy a 2-1 quarter-final over Norway in Euro 2025 on Wednesday.

Girelli is a legend of Italian football, a status she further enhanced with her 60th and 61st goals for her country. The 35-year-old is now looking forward to a semi-final clash with either defending champions England or Sweden next week. Meanwhile, Lehmann will hope her Switzerland side can cause an almighty upset when the tournament hosts take on World Cup winners Spain in their last eight encounter.
