Liverpool are currently enjoying a stellar season under new manager Slot. The Reds are top of the Premier League table and in first place in the Champions League standings with a perfect record after six matches. Former Liverpool defender Glen Johnson feels that if Alexander-Arnold can win the Premier League for the second time with Liverpool he will extend his contract.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID
He told BetFred: “If Liverpool win the Premier League, then I believe he will stay. I don’t think he wants to leave and I don’t think Liverpool want him to leave, but the longer this goes on, then the less likely that he will stay. He’s going to be at Liverpool or Real Madrid next season. I don’t believe he’ll go anywhere else and I don’t believe any other club can compete with them two. If Liverpool win the league, then I think he’ll stay.”

Alexander-Arnold isn't the only key Liverpool player heading into the final few months of his contract. Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are in the same situation and Liverpool are thought to be eager to keep all three players. In the meantime, Slot's men will aim to continue their Premier League title charge on Saturday against Fulham.
