As the 53-year-old decided to end his journey with the England national team, captain Harry Kane took to social media to pen an emotional note dedicated to his manager where he thanked him for his immense contribution to the Three Lions.

On Instagram, Kane shared a few photographs of himself with Southgate and wrote in the caption: "Boss. Thank you for everything you have done for me and our country! You have been one of England’s greatest-ever managers and it has been a pleasure to have served as your captain throughout. You helped our nation connect and believe in our team again.
